What your agent will and will not do
Putting words in your business's mouth is a serious job. These are the rules every Sitora agent follows, and none of them can be turned off.
Answers come only from your content
The agent speaks from passages of your site and shows its sources. It has no other material about your business, and it is rejected in code if it tries to cite pages it was not given.
It never fabricates prices or policies
Money and rules are where wrong answers hurt people. If your site does not state a price, a policy, an hour, or an availability, the agent will not produce one, even a likely one.
"I do not know" is a feature
When the site does not cover a question, the agent says so in one plain sentence and offers the human path. We think this single behavior is why customers end up trusting the agents, and the businesses behind them.
A human is always reachable
Any visitor can ask for a person at any time and the agent steps aside immediately, collecting their details so your team can follow up. The agent is a front desk, not a wall.
Your content stays yours
Ingested pages, conversations, and leads belong to the business. Export everything as JSON in one click, or delete it all, agent included, and it is gone.
The default handoff, verbatim
You can rewrite it in your own voice. This is the default every new agent ships with:
I do not know the answer to that from this website, so I will not guess. Let me hand you to the team, who can help directly.
Questions about these rules, or something an agent said that it should not have? Tell us at /contact and a person will look at the actual conversation with you.
